The UNIVPM’s Ignition event was held in attendance on October 24, 2022. First, a positive atmosphere was created among mentors and mentees with the implementation of an ice-break and with the team presentation. Then, after presenting the practical information about the project and the preparation of an exciting brainstorming session on educational experiences, peer-to-peer work took place to provide the first version of our Manifesto. Cisco Webex: A tool that supports Teaching and Learning
Cisco Webex is a cloud-based platform that supports web conferencing services. It is one of the most trusted online meeting platforms and is considered ideal for teaching and learning activities because it offers many different features for distance-learning. Many ACADIGIA members have used Webex as an official conference solution during the pandemic therefore its applicability as a teaching and learning tool has thoroughly been tested by professors and students.
Skype evaluation using Digital Competence of Educators (DigCompEdu) framework
ACADIGIA project team uses the Digital Competence of Educators framework (DigCompEdu) to assess Skype’s contribution on the digital competence of educators and learners. During the pandemic period, Skype is one of the top ranked open pedagogic tools that have been used in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) around Europe.
