The Master in Air Navigation Services Management is an educational tool aimed primarily at strengthening the management skills of staff involved in the provision of Air Navigation Services (ANS) and personnel employed by organisations that interact with these services.

The objective of the Programme is to equip candidates with specialised technical, operational and managerial skills to acquire a broad understanding of air navigation services and the context (current and future) in which they are provided.

The Master is designed to provide the appropriate competencies to personnel involved in ANS management and has been validated in accordance with the applicable ICAO ANS provisions as well as the Trainair Plus training methodology.

ENAIRE is developing the Master jointly with two renowned Spanish universities (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid) as well as with ICAO’s Global Aeronautical Training Division (GAT), taking advantage of ENAIRE’s membership of the Trainair Plus Programme (TPP). ENAIRE has identified as a priority the development of a university programme for professionals involved in Air Navigation Services (ANS). This initiative has been considered a key element to improve the provision of air navigation services in accordance with the current needs and future demands of civil aviation.

Students will have the option to attend this programme by choosing any of the following formats:

  • Face-to-face / Streaming: will take place on weekends (i.e. Friday afternoon and Saturday morning). Additionally, master classes will take place on Wednesday afternoons. Those students who are unable to attend in person, classes will also be streamed.
  • Remote / Recorded: students will have access to recorded lectures available at any time via a dedicated training platform.

in both formats the students will have access to online tutorials and direct interaction with instructors. Masterclasses conducted by relevant ANS professionals will be streamed live, recorded and then uploaded to the training platform so that students can watch them out of hours.

The completion of each module leads to the issuance of a professional diploma issued by ENAIRE accrediting the candidate as an ANS specialist. Upon completion of the modules and the Master’s Final Thesis, students will obtain a Master’s diploma issued jointly by the UPM and UAM. Students will also receive a certificate issued by ENAIRE and the ICAO Global Aviation Training Office (GAT).
